Office Manager - Ruth Barnes

Ruth is responsible for the overall administration of the office. She also oversees all issues regarding reimbursement and billing.

Before Ruth started working at Lake Norman Hematology Oncology Specialists in Mooresville, she had a career in training and consulting for practice management software. She is past president of North Carolina Oncology Managers Society. Ruth lives in Charlotte. She has two sons and two grandsons all living in Lincoln County.

Nurse Manager - Karen Carson

Karen graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  While in nursing school, She was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society.  Following graduation, Karen worked as a staff nurse at Presbyterian Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit, Oncology Unit and in the Oncology Research Department.  From 1999-2001, she worked as a staff nurse for Presbyterian Oncology Associates.  In 2001, she began working as the Nurse Manager at Lake Norman Hematology Oncology Specialists.  Karen lives with her husband Tom and their two daughters, Kathryn and Meredith, in Mooresville, NC.
